April 1997 - Michael moves to Orange County, CA.

For 15+ years, Kelly and Michael live or work a few miles from each other, but never meet.

They each had wonderful, intelligent children:

They had to experience some hardships to teach them what they were looking for in a partner

Each were living on their own, happy but lonely, and hoping to find the right match.

Kelly received dozens of emails a day from guys and became expert at filtering out the online creeps. She went on a LOT of first dates to separate the few from the many. She could tell in the first few minutes if a guy was dating material. J

Kelly and Mike met online in August, 2015. After several very long phone calls, that seemed very short, but lasted into the early hours, they went on their first date. A terrific Thai dinner was followed by shopping for school supplies for Kelly's boys. Then, a romantic walk and talk on the beach. It was the longest first date ever for both.

Perhaps silly, but impressive nonetheless, Kelly and Mike find that they are 99.7% compatible based on OKC's compatibility index. Wow!

After just a couple of weeks, Mike asked Kelly to go to the IHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas. It was an epic weekend!

Just a couple of weeks later, they were off to Canada together for Mike's 25-year college reunion, and Kelly met Mike's college buddies ("let me tell you a story about Mike") and his parents.

It didn't take long for Kelly and Mike to realize that this was not just chance or luck. The timing was perfect, they were in sync on so many levels, and the chemistry was real.

What are the chances that they'd ever meet?

She grew up in a small village in Vietnam, fatherless from the age of five, initially in a small house with a dirt floor. Kelly, her mom, sister and brother took care of each other. Kelly excelled at academics, sports and writing. When she was 18, sponsored by her Kimmi and Uncle Ed, the family immigrated to California. Kelly took jobs during the day that paid her university tuition, went to classes at night and helped put her sister and brother through school. She bought her own house, got married and had two boys - Andrew (16) and Anthony (13).

December 2015 they went on a trip to Lake Tahoe for skiing and snowmobiling - fun! But, Kelly got sick. L

February 2016 was Kelly's cousin's wedding in New Orleans. Cajun cooking lessons were great fun and delicious! Dancing the Second Line through the streets of the Latin Quarter behind a real, New Orleans band was awesome! But, Kelly got sick. Again. L

April, 2016 Mike proposed to Kelly on Jay's sailboat in San Diego Harbor. She said yes! Many people (who they didn't even know) cheered!!

Just as Mike was proposing, Jay was piloting the boat past The Fish Market restaurant, right under the bow of the USS Midway Some of the folks enjoying dinner were very observant, because all of a sudden, there was a great cheer!

May 2016 Kelly and Mike buy a house. Kelly's commute is now awesome!

The commitment is real!

A business trip to Tokyo turns into a week in Japan! Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka (yum!) and Hiroshima!

Kelly didn't get sick!!! Her favorite part? The food, OF COURSE!!!

Without a break it's off to Canada (again)! This time, with the kids! Toronto to see the sights, hosted by Gregg & Cynthia. Then to Niagara Falls, Long Point and London to see Mike's kids and family. A weekend on Lake Huron with high school friends hosted by the Siftons.
